She is 2 months old and 134 grams. The breeder said she has had three meals so far.

She's pretty! And if she honestly has only had 3 meals and is at 134g. Then she's an unusually big baby!

He wasn't sure of her hatch weight off the top of his head but he did say all the babies in the clutch hatched over 70g. I hope she is naturally inclined to be a big girl!

First update: She was already out and about exploring her tub last night. She's curled up behind her hide this morning. Humidity is good and in the 65%-70% range. I am having trouble with her temps. My set up in on heat tape with an on/off (switching to proportional ASAP) thermostat. Having to bump the setting on the thermostat over 100 degrees to achieve the right gradient. However my infared temp gun is giving very wacky readings. Like 80 degrees and then one inch over 100 degrees. Can the laser be inaccurate when it reflects off the tub walls? Or can in be shot through the tub walls and be reading my heat tape?

Another quick update. This morning I came in to the room to check temps. Persephone's tub was covered in condensation and was reading 98% humidity. I figured she'd tipped her water in the night and reached into the grab it assuming she was in her hide as I didn't see her at first glance. Nope, she sniped me from on top of her hide. Baby snake: 1. Me: 0. Of course she's a baby so I didn't feel anything and she more just jump-scared the bejeesus out of me. Oh well. Turned out she peed right next to the temp probe. Here she is in her clean tub looking pretty dang smug.

Persephone started her first shed today! I didn't notice her going into blue and was having some humidity concerns about her tub (humidity too high). I think I over shot it though as she shed the first 1/3 of her body in one piece and we're still waiting on the rest. Hopefully I can finally get her to eat after this! She's been refusing the F/T rat fuzzys I've been offering so far... we moved her tub to the spare bedroom about a week and a half ago because I think she was in a part of the house that was too loud for her. So we'll see how this goes. Hopefully I'll have some fresh shed pictures of her up tonight!
