Are there any comprehensive guides as to what a gene does when interacting with others as you combine them together or is it just a case of searching it up on world of ball pythons to get an idea of what you'll get in advance?

Just wondering if there's been any write-ups as in... "Pastel - *had tendency to do this when mixed with other genes*"

I mean, obviously a bit of deductive reasoning you can guess that pastel is going to make things a lighter shade probably (ignorance might be showing here and I apologise if it is, bear with the cringe) but when it comes to stuff like *insert basic gene that looks similar to others but does wildly different outcomes when mixed with the same 2nd gene here* being able to have an idea rather than search up the result would be handy to have off-hand before hitting the gargler.

I'm one of those that would probably still search it up regardless but I also can see the value in having this information and knowledge at the fingertips in a spreadsheet too.

I would think WOBP picture examples would be as convenient to look up as a spreadsheet. I don't think I'd ever want to read descriptions of thousands of combos and like you said, genes do different things depending on the combo

Problem with WOBP is everyone is lazy there.
There is a descriptions area that no one fills in.
There are so many "morphs" that just have different names or look just like a normal.
Wish they would be proud enough of their animals to explain a little.
