The ones with the probe are pretty good. They're typically accurate to within +/- 1.5°F.

    Re: Zoo med thermometers

I would go with a Acurite Indoor/outdoor with probe anyday first. All that pet store stuff i stay away from and that is only good for one temp.
This one gives Hot spot/ Cool Spot and Humidity
    Free Shipping Lowes.
Amazon is a bit more expensive since they know we all use them now.

You do realize that Zoo Med has donated WELL north of $600,000 (not counting last year - likely another $100,000) to USARK, don't you? Recommend another product if you like, but there is zero reason to universally talk down to "all that pet store stuff" when many products work perfectly well and are made by a fantastic company.

I wont shop at chain stores and thats where I have seen those brands.. I used Zoomed when I was younger (still have some in a box) before I found out about the better ways like RHP/ Herpstat ect.. Of course everyone has a choice to use what works for them, but i refuse to buy anything from Petsmart/Petco/Pet Supplies Plus ect..
Also as I stated it only gives you 1 temp and no humidity.

Then don't shop at those stores, but you can very easily find the major brands like Zoo Med elsewhere.

And if that's all you need it to do, it's good at it.

Im sure you can, however I have never had a ZooMed product that worked well IMO and once again those thermometers only give one temp and I want 2 temps (Hot/Cool) plus humidity for all my enclosures without multiple units. If you have had good luck with ZooMed by all means buy their products.

    Re: Zoo med thermometers

I have two of them, one for the hot side and one for the cool side. it would be nice to have everything on one though! How does the acuRite regulate the hot and cool side?
