    Caves and Heating Pads

Hey guys! I just brought home my first ever Ball Python! She's amazing and currently enjoying her new cave . I was hoping that someone could give me some advise on the placement of the cave. Should it be placed over her heat mat so she can sleep on it? Or should it be kept off it? Thank you to anyone who can help me! x

Make sure the heat mat is plugged into a thermostat (not a thermometer), and the hide should be on the warm side, yep!

Thank you for replying! I'll make sure to put her cave on the warm spot, and I do have a good thermostat so I'll keep a good eye on that x

Best to have two identical hides, one at either end. That way they can choose if they want to warm up or cool down (thermoregulate) according to their needs.
