Can a ball python and a BRB be in the same rack?

I've been thinking about getting a rack to stop spending so much on heat pads and thermostats. So, since these two species require different hot spots, if I were to set the heat tape at 88, would it be fine for the BRB? I know it's fine for the BP, but I've been hearing 85 is max. Thoughts? I've seen people keep BRB's in racks with BP's before, so I guess they can?

in my experience BRB's like it on the cooler side. I keep my ambient at about 78. I have grow lights on during the day, they are LED and don't produce much heat, so it gets up over 80 but not upper 80's. Ruby tends to stay low and cool.

I keep both my Ball and BCI in the same rack. I found that temperature between my racks varies (I have a three tier rack).I have my thermostat probe in the middle rack and the middle stays hotter than the bottom or top rack. I keep my Boa in the bottom since it's slightly cooler, and the Ball in the middle. They are doing great. I'm not sure on the husbandry for BRB though.

Many racks will have one shelf that runs a bit cooler than the others. Put your BRB in that one.

Ambient temps over 85*F can be a problem for a BRB. Belly heat at 88*F will get used but you won't find your BRB coiled on it, he'll stretch his belly across it for digesting while keeping his head and maybe his tail in a cooler area. You may also want to use a substrate like cypress mulch in your BRB's tub and paper for your ball python. I've found the density and dampness of the mulch helps to dissipate heat. You can also offer a large water bowl; if you find your BRB soaking a lot he may be too warm.
