    Dehydrated BP with stuck Shed

Hi, so I just bought a ball python about a month ago. It's pretty young; about a foot and a half long. It wouldn't eat for a long time, and I finally got it to start eating about 2 weeks ago. It's a little underweight, and right now it's dehydrated and going through a stuck shed. I soaked it in slightly warm water for about 15 minutes yesterday, and that may have helped a bit, but its still not in great shape. I've upped the humidity from about 45% to around 70% for the past 4 or so days. I'm really worried about it and I don't know what to do. Should I soak it again, should I do a powerade or pedialyte solution soak, should I take it to a vet? I don't have a lot of money, and the closest vet that specializes in exotic animals is over an hour away, so if I can help it, I'd like to avoid the vet.

this thread has everything u ever wanna know about a bad shed and how to fix it: https://ball-pythons.net/forums/show...2-My-poor-baby

if that is tl;dl for ya, this thread has a pictures to walk u through a proper soaking method: https://ball-pythons.net/forums/show...hed-No-problem

also here is a thread with a vid on a non-soak methd to remove bad shed: https://ball-pythons.net/forums/show...ithout-Soaking

it's not necessary to soak your BP in sports drinks. just keep good husbandry all the time and when u need to troubleshoot, follow one of the methods in the threads i posted above.
    RIP Mamba
