    Worried about not eating

Hi everyone , I'm fairly new to keeping BP's and I am getting worried about my girl , she hasn't eaten in 2 months, she use to eat well every Friday she would eat 2 jumbo live mice.

My temps are hide is at 90 , cool side is at 80 and humidity is 50 to 60 , she is active , not getting ready to shed , looks healthy , and not losing any weight .
She is a year old and last time I weighed her she was at 1015 grams.
Please can someone help or should I start thinking of brining her to the vet.
    Thanks.

Things sound ok and as normal as things can be for a ball python. It is not odd for them to fast this time a year and females tend to go on a fast once they hit the 1000 gram mark.

Not unusual. As long as she isn't losing considerable amounts of weight, she will be fine. Maybe offer food ever 2 weeks and see how that goes.

What is her enclosure like? picture?

    As above ...

I just mentioned this in another thread oddly enough but the record for snake fasting is a little over two years from what I remember !!! That was a Royal / Ball python also .

At that size all you can do is make sure husbandry is optimal and most importantly be PATIENT, there is absolutely no need for a vet unless you are suspecting a health issue that contribute to the feeding issue.

At this size they hit what is called "the wall" and she could very well go off feed for 3,6,9 or 12 months without issues.

Easiest way to upload pix is to use the FREE app called TapaTalk . It's fabulous for keeping all the forums you use in one convenient place - so all your conversations can be seen easily . Anyways it has the option to easily upload photos with one touch .
