    Undertank heater

Does anyone know where in Canada I can buy a reliable undertank heater? The only ones I've found are the common brand name ones like zoo med, etc. I don't really like these because of the sticky side to them. They are also expensive and mine is already running at only 85f after just a year.

I've been looking online but most places only ship within the states. Any suggestions?

Check on Amazon.ca. There are usually numerous UTH available. Although I am unsure as to why you take issue with the adhesive - you will most likely never have to switch it up as the weaker wattage UTH aren't any good for a larger tank should you choose to upsize in the future. I've only ever used ExoTerra brand UTH. But if you want a pad without adhesive, here are some:

More importantly, you should also invest in a thermostat and thermometer. For the former, the ReptiTemp 500 is a great product, but I've found that the JumpStart is a far superior product:

are you using a thermostat/is there space between the uth and the table the tank is sitting on? No thermostat means that thing runs wide open 24/7 and will burn your animals or die much quicker. No space between the heater and the stand means theres no heat displacement and the heater will die much much faster as well.

    Check out reptilebasics.com

Their heat mats don't have a sticky adhesive side and they're very affordable. I believe it's a US company based in the far north (Massachusetts I think? Or Connecticut?) so shipping I imagine wouldn't be absolutely terrible, though I don't have much experience with buying out of country. I haven't checked if they ship outside the country but I imagine they would.
