    Fast questions

My girlie went off food after her last meal on Dec 25th. I offered two weeks later, then spread to 3 weeks after each refusal and then 4. So, basically, I don't offer again until March 5th.

I find a urate every 15 to 20 days during the fast and she's actually going into a shed!

What I wonder is, if she refuses food on March 5th, when do I offer again? (That will be 4 weeks after her last refusal.) Do I wait 5 weeks if she refuses? Keep increasing the time by a week until she accepts? (I can't afford to waste a ton of rats.)

Also, how long is a typical winter fast? (She's almost 4 and this our first winter with her.)

Last year mine waited until April to finally eat.

So far we are on track to do the same again. My scale only does pounds.....he has only lost 0.02lb since September when he last ate.

Usually my adult will come off of fast in Apri -May. Last year she went till late June.

I usually start offering in March and every 30 days after.

It's hard not to worry, but she will be fine. She will know when it's time for nutrition. They will not starve themselves to death.
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

    K. She's in shed now. I will offer March 5th and then April 5th if she refuses.
