12 hours no eggs?

My female ball python looked like she was trying to push an egg out last night around 9PM. It is now 9AM and she still hasn't laid them yet. She is actually in the "blue stage" of her shed so I wasn't actually expecting eggs just yet. Her last clutch all came out within a few hours or so, I'm just not sure if I should be worried or not at this point. I was honestly surprised that she was even pregnant because I just bred her about a month ago. I'm assuming she retained sperm from last year?

Is there an egg in the vent? the only reason I ask is I've never had an animal be in shed and laying eggs. Not saying I haven't had strange stuff happen but just not this. I'd say she's not laying eggs just adjusting them.

I guess I didn't get a great look, but it did seem like there was something about to come out. Her vent was widened and it looked like an egg shape. I will have to take a better look when I get out of work.

There is a condition that for some reason they will lay one egg or a slug a few days to a couple of weeks prior to the actual lay date. It's possible that this is what's happening.

How common is this? I just got one healthy egg a few hours ago and im still waiting for 4 more.
