    Re: Herpstat failure likelihood?

This may be a weird question but what does a thermostat failure look like. Do the readouts on the actual thermostat show incorrect settings or is it noticed when checking your temps in your tank.

I recently added a backup thermostat to each of my main thermostats as a safety precaution - do you all have backup units on yours??

    Just curious.

    Herpstat failure likelihood?

Ive been using dimmers for 3 years or so and have had the dimmers change output due to mini power surges in my house.

Twice now, the temp was 98 degrees in two different tanks. Fortunately I check on temps at least twice a day.

Countless times the temps have dropped well below 88-90. But that appears to be in the spring and summer with the A/C kicking on and off repeatedly during the day.

Fortunately, my last tank is about to be replaced by an AP A-25 with another Herpstat.

I have peace of mind with all of my enclosures which are on Herstats. I still check on them at twice daily, and have never had issues yet. Money well spent.

Just one half of the snake room
So.... I see the big Boa in the top Viv , then below a Retic ?
    Then below that ? A Royal ?

    Boa on top
Coastal Carpets on middle and bottom
    Jungle Carpet on left.

You did good considering the picture wasn't really good about showing the snakes themselves.

    Punch in the top

    Mack in the middle

    Lizzy in the bottom

    Esmarelda on the left

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

Nice ... I tried identifying them from their side markings shown in the water bowls
