My older sister came by my house and took a few nice pixtures of some of my snakes.

There were more taken but these 4 are the ones who came out the best.









Sorrt I have been so inactive the last few months. I've been dealing with a lot of stuff, I've also learned a lot. I've stepped my husbandry up 1000% among other things. I'll be back online a bit more, hopefully finally able to return the favors to the community that the community has given to me.

Yes and no. My girlfriends big normal female. I'm actually no longer with her. I truly believe that snake got sick due to low ambient temps, which was my fault. I didn't have a room I could kee warm at the time and thus I shouldn't have gotten the snake. When we moved I finally was able to get it cultured and properly perscribed anti-biotics. I've asked for updates and she has told me she is doing better.

They're back in Georgia, and I hope that they decide to come back to PA, but for now, that snake is no longer in my collection. To my knowledge it is getting better.

I'm actually proud of where my snake keeping is at especially compared to a few months ago. In my new home one of my rooms is heated so my ambient temps are finally spot on. Inside the tubs it's always between 80-82 degrees ambient temps, depending on if it's day or night. Hot spot is kept at 90.

Some other things still need work. My Lesser Super Pastel male has not begun to eat again since all those issues back in november, which is rather frustrating. He is holding at 990 grams currently, but has lost about 8 grams in total in the past few weeks which is troubling. I offer weekly, he just isnt interested, and he has always been a picky feeder from the start.

Anyway, to answer your question, the snakes pictured are my Normal, that Lesser Super Pastel I spoke about, my Banana, and my Super Fire. My Bumblebee was not cooperating to take pictures, and I have 2 snakes in quarentine that I didn't want to take out. They have 2 months left before that can intermingle.

Hopefully this is the start of a new beggining in my snake keeping. Everyone on this forum has been very patient with me, and I'm finally improving. I wish I had made these changes sooner, and I regret the discomfort I had caused my animals in the past, especially the big normal, but I'm hoping to make up for it from here on out.

Also I know it will come up about handling the Lesser Super Pastel even though he is off food. Lucky for me, these pictures were taken as I was cleaning. I remove the paper towels and clean the tubs in my rack once a week regardless of if a snake fouls their cage or not, and spot check daily. It's a good opportunity to check weights and the overall wellbeing of the snakes.

I can't unwrite the mistakes I've made from my history, I was very new and way in over my head. My animals suffered for it, and for that I can't forgive myself. I owe it to them from here on out to care for them to the absolutely best of my ability.

I included a picture of my Bumblebee as well as some pictures of my current setup. I opened my girl up just because I wanted to see how she was doing this evening, and she wasn't feeling particularly receptive to me coming into her tub.








I guess while I'm at it I'll update some other things I've gotten into instead of making a seperate thread. I started a new job today, just as a dishwasher at Red Lobster, but the pay is good, and it gets me out of the house. Also I recently got into keeping Tarantulas.

I've been enjoying them a lot. I'm a person who is highly fearful of most venomous animals, but keeing the Ts is helping me get over that. The P murinus is my first old world I've had the pleasure of working with. Fast little bugger and bite that would ruin my day. Everything is is safe to keep, and even that OBT is safe to keep as long as I'm cautious and responsible.
