Question Using non-viviarium/aquarium ornaments in a vivarium?

I am curious as to whether or not it is possible to use something like a resin garden ornament in a vivarium or if this will be harmful for a snake. I know that some things are toxic and some aquarium ornaments are not suitable because of their sharp spikes or small openings that a snake can get stuck in. Often, this leaves a very limited amount of ornaments available since even some of the snake ornaments I've seen are like this too.

I was looking at some smooth, resin garden ornaments which are water resistant, and wondered if the chemicals on them were suitable for snakes or if it is just too much of a risk?

    Thanks. ^^

honestly I wouldn't risk it. The only real benefit is the aesthetics for your personal enjoyment, not the snake's. I'd stick to PVC decor and hides.

If you can put it into an aquarium it's OK chemically as fish are far more susceptible to that sort of thing, just check for spots your snake can get stuck or sharp points.

Yeah, I was thinking about something like a carved statue or rock as a more natural alternative but then I figured that they could potentially be too heavy and crush the snake if she accidentally knocks it over!

I suppose that's why I was considering the outdoor resin ones, because they wouldn't do as much damage if they fell but if they are toxic I definitely won't risk it so I'll probably have to stick to aquarium ornaments.
