the over the top sales ad are funny (and sad) and sometimes the keepers who troll CL for "snake food" actually hurts the community (and then turn around and mock the forum/other keepers).

I agree. There are a lot of owners who don't know what they're doing. I'm getting to the point where I consider most Craigslist snakes rescues, unless they come from a breeder.

I read one once that these people purchased a captive bred bull snake and it was friendly at first but then began "sizing them up" after they moved its cage to their bedroom and become vicious I felt bad for the poor snake, it was a really pretty morph too.
