    Is Vinyl Making a Comeback?

so i read an article yesterday that vinyl records are outselling digital downloads in some markets. see here - https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...or-a-turntable

i think that's really cool but not really for me anymore. i used to have several crates of vinyl records and 3 turntables at one point. i've reduced my vinyl collection down to 1 crate of my fav classic rock and stuff and 1 record player. i got tired or hauling them around and don't want to deal with the whole process. for the most part, i'm a digital music and bluetooth speaker now.

    what do u think?

Oh, ive just recently (last 5 months) been buying all kinds of Vinyl. Ive bought more vinyl in those months than CD's in the last 10 years. I definitely think its making a comeback.

I had them when I was a kid. meh I think they are trendy. I loved album covers but also loved the portability of cassettes and CD and never turned back when digital came out. Just my preference. I spent years living out of a footlocker and rucksack and loved having my music collection on an iPod.

My dad has a mancave with a pool table and everything, and his walls are lined with vinyl records. You can take them down and play them too, I think it's pretty cool.

    Is Vinyl Making a Comeback?

It's too late for me sadly .

I've got thousands and thousands of MP3 songs and even IF we had the money I would not know which albums to buy .

We seem to have much more choice nowadays ....

I don't have a problem with vinyls, I just don't understand this movement to bring them back. The sound quality isn't as good and it's just kind of a hassle in my opinion. It's so much easier to scroll through your iPod and click the song or album you wanna listen to. The only people I know who own and use vinyls are hipsters or people who grew up listening to them lol.

I personally have never been able to hear the difference in sound quality that vinyl is supposed to have. Maybe you need to be an audiophile to notice. For me it's always been about the speakers and the equalizer.

Although I might be intrigued if they started making consumer level vinyl writes like they have CD and DVD writers.

That said, don't call it a comeback. It's been here for years.
