Is the snake still bleeding or does it look like it bled a little during the shed?

Do a search with the keywords "blood" and "shed". Search is an awesome thing and for "must have" answers should be delved into.
This happens occasionally and unless the bleeding is copious isn't anything to be overly concerned about. Is there any remaining shed stuck to the vent or spurs? THere was a post within the last 2 or three days that covered nearly the same thing. No worries.

I agree with Smulkin. Unless there is a LOT of blood, dont worry. The same thing happened to Bastian once, and he was fine.

I would say you have nothing to worry about. I have seen this from time to time. I believe it has something to do with sperm plugs (which would make sense since your snake is a male.) I noticed it almost every time Goblin has shed thus far, and also have read about it on another BP forum, and I want to reassure you it's normal. But if there were constant, heavy bleeding of course, I'd see a vet.

I have found out, from this forum, and www.repticzone.com, that Cupid is fine. Some snakes do this time to time, because they shed a layer of skin on the cloaca that is not rough, so it causes a small amount of bleeding, and is notghing to worry about. I am pretty sure he is a male, because he has thoose huge "hooks". And, no, there was no blood on him, just a little bit on the shed. I an feeding him tomorrow, hopefully that will go well.

I have a female, that happend to her also.
She's about 4 months old, so for one.
Not only males do so, even if she was male she wouldn't be developing sexuality maturity at that age to have "sperm plugs"

I think it was his big hook things. I think the shed kinda got stuck on the hooks, he is fine now. Pooped, drank, out and about, and no stuck shed.
