My first snake, and ball python.

Hello, new snake owner here!! I've always been a lover of snakes, and will pick any up I meet on the trail, however, they're the only animal my mom would never let me keep. Now that I'm away from home, I've been doing some research and ball python obsessing and decided today to finally get one after finding a beautiful albino. I've decided to name the new baby Kaa, after the Jungle Book.

I'm unsure of the sex of my snake, but either way I'm debating between the names Mowgli and Kaa.

Lovely color! My situation was exactly the same. The month that I graduated from college and moved out, I got my first snake, and he was also an albino ball python.

My little guy is curled up under his hideout giving me the stink-eye. Haha it really is exciting just knowing I finally have one! I can't wait to feed it to be honest.

My girl actually ate yesterday for the first time with me! I was really worried about feeding her because the breeder I got her from had told me that he only fed live. Having fed live in the past with cal kings, It wasn't always the best experience (mice biting my snakes once they had struck, making them bleed etc... even with complete supervision, it was really hard to watch). Optimistic, I bought some frozen/thawed mice and she chowed down almost immediately! I was so relieved and so proud of how good of an eater she was. I'd love updates on your Lil guy!
