Sanity Check for Feeding Conversion
This may be a little long-winded. I have questions on 3 different snakes and would like confirmation on whether my plan for each of them seems appropriate. All questions are in regard to their feeding. I'll give a little background on each and what I plan on doing.
Female BP (1600 grams) - currently in an AP T8. She's eaten small live rats consistently. Four weeks ago she ate a prekilled small rat left overnight. For the past 3 weeks she's refused F/T rats that were "danced around" and left overnight. I plan on going back and giving her a prekilled this weekend. I will keep doing that for several weeks before trying F/T again.
Male BP (700 grams) - currently in an AP T8 (it's big but he has 3 hides and really utilizes the space at night). He's a very good eater (will even eat in shed). He's eaten live consistently (never missed a live meal). First time giving him a F/T, I left it overnight and he took it. However, the past 2 weeks he's refused, although he did strike at it the last time. Seemed like when he missed, he hit his head and got scared, so didn't strike again. I will continue to try F/T with him since he seems to have potential.
Male Dumerils Boa (4 months old, unknown weight) - acquired him 10/15/16. He's in a 12 qt tub. Recently changed the substrate to coco-husk from aspen. I'm finding he burrows a lot more with the coco, which is better IMO. I was told he was eating F/T mice, but they had to be left overnight. I've tried feeding him 3 times since I've acquired him, with no luck (giving him F/T mouse hoppers). Because of his age and since he's new in my care, I plan on starting over completely and offering a live mouse pup or hopper. What's the largest sized mouse I can safely leave overnight?
The T8 temperatures are regulated with RHPs. The tub has flexwatt set to 86°F and a CHE to raise the ambient air around the tub to around 75°F.
Any reason to alter this plan?

Re: Sanity Check for Feeding Conversion
Well the first thing I think of a the female BP is that she's at breeeding size and this time of year, she may be just going off feed. Be patient, don't go back to live yet. I wouldn't anyway. As long as she's maintaining pretty good weight.
The male, just make sure you get the food to around 100 degrees, focusing on the head. Keep up the dancing movements lol. If he struck, he will strike again.
And I'm unfamiliar with boas. So no hell there lol.

Re: Sanity Check for Feeding Conversion
For the female, it could be the season. But I know she can be picky so I think she's just turning up her nose to the f/t. I wasn't going to try live, but prekilled.
