She strikes then does this dance move

So I was spot cleaning some water from the water bowl, and had my hand next her cool hide. She striked, got my index finger and it literally felt like nothing. A. Is this normal? B. I lifted her hide to check for any wetness and she arched her back like this. She does it every once n a while. If she was scared, she'd ball up.

It seems like it's strike, arch (make yourself big to scare them off tactic?) Then ball. Anyone else see this?

They sometimes stiffen up in weird positions when they're afraid and ready to strike. Some ball pythons rarely ball up, and the ones who do don't always ball up.

Also, yes, if a baby hits you in the right spot, it really can feel like nothing! I didn't even notice the first time it happened until I saw it later.

Yeah she balls when she sleeps, and in a really weird ball coil when I take her out.
