Well my apologies for inadvertently derailing your thread .

In my defence , I was attracted by your misleading ( IMHO ) thread title and your continued description of the set ups as 'dark' places ...
I still don't see how the open rubs are dark unless you're simply suggesting they can stay in the hides 24/7 ??

Using the abbreviations "IMHO" and "TBH" do a terrible job at hiding your sarcastic, "holier than thou because I put green stuff in my snake enclosures and you don't" attitude bro. This works for me. But most of all, it works for my snakes. And by "a darker spot", I mean I moved them to a different room that doesn't see much use as opposed to the living room, and I use the natural light cycle from the windows as opposed to the bright uvb bulb I was using. They have peace and quiet and they don't feel as exposed due to the opacity of the plastic as opposed to the clarity of the glass. Like I said, once they're older and more used to human movement and all that, I'll reconsider their setup, but for now, you have your way and I have mine. IMHO.

And also in my opinion, you're missing the point. These particular snakes BY INSTINCTIVE NATURE actually LIKE to stay in a dark hide spot. At night they come out and move around. These guys run off of PURE INSTINCTS man. They don't feel emotions, and I highly doubt they are thinking, "gee. This place sure could use something green to really liven it up." ..

How on earth do you get sarcasm from me using an abbreviation for ' in my humble opinion ' ??

I gave up after reading your 'holier than thou ' comment .

You know what that's enough with the drama and since I am not inclined to entertain it any further this thread is now being locked.

    I may re-open it, I may not
