Karma X Mystic lock in August

So last night I took a few snakes out of their tubs to let them stretch a little while I washed tubs. For some of them this was their first face to face encounter with another snake since hatching. As I was putting my female mystic back in her tub she started cruising around and wagging her tail and scenting everywhere. I figured what the heck, and stuck my Karma male in there. Everything looked good and this morning I woke up to this picture! Is this thing normal, and will I have to keep pairing them a few times before she begins to develop eggs? This fall was planned to be my first breeding season and I have all of the equipment already, so that id be prepared. I'm excited to see what this pairing could yield.

Best case scenario it will be awhile before you need to worry about eggs. I wouldn't worry much until the female starts to expand. My concern would be what would I sell the babies as? If you are keeping them all it is not really an issue, but you have mystic and phantom involved in the same pairing? How exactly are you going to know what you got?

If it is white you know it is lesser/mystic
If it is a phantom/mystic sell as a pet?
Single gene phantom or mystic? good luck telling the difference

this is kind of like mixing butters and lessers.

I do plan to keep a couple of them, but we will see. I've been trying to find the real difference in the phantom and the mystic anyhow and there doesn't seem to be much difference in them at all. Thanks for the info!

The only problem snake would be the phantom/mystic
The only single gene animals produced would be Phantoms and Lessers

On a side note, I don't know of anyone that can reliably tell phantoms and mystics apart. This is a breeding line issue since they are most likely two lines of the same gene. Lesser/Butter have the same problem. This matters mostly to breeders. For example, I have only phantoms in my collection. No mystics.

Ohhhh ok I see what you are saying. I should have leucistics out of this though, correct? Someone tried to tell me id get purple passions, but the only mojo gene would be in my mystic, so I don't see how that's even possible.

You wouldn't have any problem identifying actually. You should only get lesser mystics, mystic phantoms, phantoms, and lessers. So by process of elimination you should be able to identify. For example, any single gene "mystic" would actually be a phantom.

I am really confused now. One is a Karma(Phantom/Lesser) the other is a Mystic. No mojo at play here but all genes are BEL complex. Purple passion is a Phantom/Mojave (that is a purple passion pin in my picture). You have a 1 in 4 chance of getting a white snake which would be Lesser/Mystic (will look like a Karma). 1/4 of getting a Phantom/Mystic (will look like a super phantom). 1/4 for getting a single gene lesser or phantom.
