Display tanks that open from the top, like a tub?
(Did I ask this before? :s )
I'm wondering if there are makers of display cages that open from the top, instead of the front/side?

Would that not just be a fish tank? Or were you looking for something not glass on all 4 sides?

Preferably something that has a secure top to prevent escape, and the top is also the opening/door? Not really sure what I'm imagining here, if it exists.

I think you are looking for a tank. I had one I think it was a zoo med 40. The top was screen and slid into place and locked. I also had a 20 long tank that had a screen lid that slid on and had 2 pins to keep it from coming open.

There's always the "critter cages" which are thinner glass tanks (not for holding water) and they have screen tops that slide in. I would not use them for especially powerful reptiles, but they're nice cages for many of the common reptile hobby species. You can also padlock them shut.

Zoo med makes ones like that with sliding screen tops, latching tops etc. Just google search bearded dragon 40 gallon and you will see all kinds of stuff.

I found the tanks.. googling other reptile species enclosures was right LOL. I suck at googling.
I ended up buying an exo terra wide display cage (mainly because it was on sale for $80), so I'm excited! Also, thanks for the replies guys!

Sure thing, glad I could be of assistance. Now what lucky little creature is getting this new home?

Cake (albino male) is getting this one! I've been wanting to find proper display setups for awhile. I was waiting for all them to reach adult size/mostly stop growing before buying the permanent ones... now the time is nigh... They've been in tub setups, which honestly just looks completely DIY (which it is) and pretty ugly.
The display tank is going in the dining room, which means I'll finally have a big extra spot in the animal room for a new addition.
ETA: Funnily, they don't even open from the top exactly, even though that's my thread topic... Kind of opens at upper-side. :s I think that would work quite well too.
