    Thank you for the tip. So would the fumes possibly wear off? Or should I try to rinse it out again.

    My mother just gave me an update. She has been hiding behind the water bowl, so it looks like I may just need to rinse the log hide or get a new one entirely.

    If it is one of those rough half log hides, the smell will never come out of it. You are better off replacing it, or getting something completely different that you CAN wash and rinse well.

    I just got an Exo Terra Reptile Cave for mine, and he prefers it over his other hide rock. I got the extra large for my 4ish foot BP.

    You can have wood, but to properly clean it you shouldn't use soap/water. Put it in the oven at 200-250°F for a couple hours. This is well below the combustion temperature and will kill any growing on it; but just to be on the safe side, you should monitor it.

    I think it would just be easier to get a new hide that I can soak with her bowl and fake plants. Thank you for the info however.
