    He told me he was hungry

    And he really was! It makes me happy every time he eats, since he went so long over the winter. I hope I can keep things dialed in this year (unlike his previous owner) so that he doesn't have another 8 month fast.

    If I watch my snakes, they seem to go into hunting actions when they start getting hungry. I keep their feed day posted on my to-do list, but as that day arrives, their actions change.

    He is. However, he has only ever eaten live, and I worry about something larger causing him some damage. He has never had anything larger than a mouse.
