Flexwatt belly heat for rack question :)

    Hey guys and gals,

Im setting up a rack and will be using a herpstat and my thermostat. My question is, how is the flewatt set up as belly with only one stat for multiple tubs? Ive seen pictures where theres a sigle mat for each tup but it's are on the power cord.

Does anyone have any experience woth this? Or knows where to purchase it?

    Thanks in advance

I do mine in a modified daisy chain

These are the connectors so that there isn't any soldering required to the main power cord.

You can have your heat tape set up like Ed or you can have a single long strip running through your rack (which is the case of most commercial PVC rack)

However you want to set yours up you can always ask Rich at Reptile Basics to assembled it for you with your spec if you purchase it from him.

It takes a longer section of heat tape, but it's better to run one piece though the sides and weave it through each shelf. The more connections you have to crimp/solder, the more points there are for failure.

Heres a 60 tub V18 rack build in progress. The small piece of heat tape is just for fitting, as I route a recess in each shelf, so the tubs don't run on the heat tape and wear it.
