    Feeding during a storm?

There's a storm moving through right now. And it got me curious if it's worth feeding right now even though it's a couple days before my normal feeding day. I think I've read about them feeding better during story weather. I have a 650g male that has become finicky and a 950g female that went off feeding a month ago. I wonder if it's worth trying to get them to eat tonight wth the storm going through.

That's probably what I read and just though it said something about their feeding response. Oh well, worth a try to see if it helps though. They might think the rats are escaping the rain.

That would make some sense. In the wild small rodents would be looking to take some refuge in very bad weather.

I can definitely see the logic. Weather starts to get active, rodent seeks refuge in a BPs burrow/wherever without even realizing, easy meal for the snake.

    Re: Feeding during a storm?

Well, I just fed them, and it seemed like they all had a better feeding response than normal. The Enchi female who is a gluten any way, pretty much launched out of her hide to get the rat. The coral glow male who has been stuck on mice and only eaten one rat in the past 3 months took it hard, though I had to reheat the head after a first pass to get him to bite. And the pastel female hasn't eaten hers yet. But she has only eaten for me if left over night and usually is initially scared of the rat was following it around but wouldn't strike, though to me that's a better sign than usual. I'll leave it over night for her. To me it seems like it the storm helped a bit.
