Temp Gun Question
I'm trying to figure out which temp gun to get. I saw someone from the forum recommend one from Eteckcity. They liked it because if you hold the trigger down, the laser would read the temperature continuously, as well as report the Max and Min temperature.
The descriptions on Etekcity's website and Amazon, don't mention this feature.
I THINK this model has this feature, but I'm not sure. Wondering if anyone knows? This model's description mentions it will give you an average and min/max. It's a dual laser model, so based on what I read, I'm not sure if it will give an absolute temperature for a given region, or just an average?

Appreciate any input on this.

W/your model, does the laser line up w/the spot being measured?

Re: Temp Gun Question
I couldn't tell you the difference between 1-2 lasers either . On mine it's a simple point and shoot.

Well I don't know if what I read is correct, but someone wrote with 2 lasers it shows you the area you are actually measuring. Whereas one laser only shows you one point obviously, not the entire area the gun is measuring. That's my interpretation at least.

With temp guns the laser is usually below what is actually taking the temp so if your taking a temp of something the reading isn't where the laser is but about an inch above depending on how far away your holding the gun.

Thanks, that's what I gathered. I don't understand why these companies don't make it so the laser is actually on the area you are measuring, seems rather logical to do THAT. Perhaps only on expensive models?
