    Clutch #5 - Black Head x Champagne

Well this is my last clutch for the season since I have no more adult females This is actually my second clutch of BH x Champagnes. I had done the pairing with both of my female Champagnes to try to be sure at least one of them went. I didn't think this one was going to go this season, but I'm glad she did. I now have 15 chances at a BH Champagne, which may be a world's first.

This weight of these 7 eggs is quite a bit below the weight of the previous 7 egg clutches I have had previously this season (573g vs 809g & 728g) so I hope they're healthy. It's the female's first ever clutch, so I'm happy she had no slugs!

I will be interested to see how these turn out!

I had mentioned to a breeder about possibly putting my black head black pastel to my butter mimosa. He said I might have trouble telling bh champagne from bp champagne. So I'll interested to see what a bh champagne looks like.

WoBP has a few examples of Black Pastel Champagnes. They look to be variable as far as what they look like. They don't have a Black Head Champagne on there at all. My first clutch is due on June 16th so it won't be long.

You've got 1/4 odds, so you'll likely produce several. Should be an awesome pairing, anxious to see the results. I also went big on Blackhead pairings this season. Have five BH clutches in the oven and one more possible late season. Like you, potential to make some unique, first ever animals. Potential for 3x, 4x and even 5x morphs. Good luck & keep us posted. cheers,
    David

I checked out your 2016 breeding season page. All of the pairings are going to be awesome as well! I'm planning on concentrating on BH combos for the next season, so I hope to produce some multi-gene BH combos as well. Good luck and keep us updated on your progress.

Agree great plan! Blackhead dark morph's are very cool & in demand. Not many out there. I think the Champagne variation will be an interesting blend. Anxious to see your results. I'm confident you'll hit on several. Good luck ...
