RI or not RI
I picked up my bp today and notice a slight whistling. When i google'd this, everything said that this is normal because of potential shed/water/scales/WHATEVER but then I see people saying go to a vet. Trying to figure out what to do. I'm not seeing any mucus from the nose or noticing him constantly opening his mouth. I guess I'm trying to find the fine line to where I should go to the vet and be on the safe side or just leave it alone because "NORMAL"

Mucus and open mouth breathing are not present in the early stage of a RI, however whistling does not always mean RI either.
What might sound abnormal to you may sound normal to me and vice versa however I do not hear what you hear and I am not here to diagnose an animals online.
If you have limited experience, are unsure of what you are hearing and have concern than I would suggest a vet and a culture, you can also wait and see if it progresses or not, however remember that if you are dealing with the early stage of a RI, the sooner it is addressed the better.

Yea, I think I'm going to give it a week and see what happens. I've bumped up the ambient temperature to see if that helps but I'm in the process now of looking for vets. Thanks!
