    Feeding issues, please help

I have tried feeding my snake twice this week and both times the mouse I give him breaks open and creates a real mess. I've had to wash my snake down twice now and I hope I got it all; I'm sure he's very upset. I let my mice thaw by the heat of his lamp until warm. I've never had any problems this way until I switched to medium sized mice. What am I doing wrong? Please help

May be heated up to much. It only takes a large mouse 10 minutes to thaw out in hot water. The heat lamp might be cooking it. Try putting mouse in bag and put in 100 degree water for 5-10 minutes. Check on it and make sure there's no frozen spots left and then take a hair dryer or your heat lamp and only heat up the head of the mouse.

I would switch to warm water to thaw and a few minutes in hot water before severing. I serve mine wet.

I have only had a few pops and they were random and usually when a snake slammed the feeder.

If it's not the lamp causing it they could be a couple bad feeders.
