Lemon pastel vs normal pastel identification

Hi all

Last year I bought a beautiful bumblebee male and pastel female. A year later these animals have really retained there bright yellow very well and by very well I mean they just a little duller in colour. These apparently were from a dinker female too if im correct. I was wondering what distinctions there are between the lemon pastel and pastel to see if I potentially have lemon pastel and not pastel.

I think the vividness of the coloration in the lemon pastel would supersede that in a regular pastel. As well , the brightness and patterning.

Ok great. I will post a pic on here at some stage but the yellow was incredible when I bought them. Really bright!

I believe the lemon pastel is just a normal pastel that NERD line bred for high yellows. With out knowing the line you can not really call it a lemon pastel, you just have some nice pastel ball pythons.

A pastel is a Pastel, yes there are different lines but unless you buy directly from NERD or someone that is very meticulous about keeping track of their lineage (and has only Lemon to Lemon) identifying a certain line is impossible, they have been around a long time and lines have been crossed into each other.

When breeding Pastels to me it's a matter of selective breeding using the best example possible the line does not matter much.

I have some Lemon in my clown project, I also work with Graziani in another project and with some animals I have no idea what line of Pastel has been used to produce them, all that matter is those animals are great example.
