My repurposed wood rack

So I was gathering left over plywood I had from a computer desk build to toss out when I noticed my neighbors were tossing out wood from a closet they removed. The hamster wheel in my mind started turning and I asked if I can have the wood to repurpose it. Long story short I decided to build a furniture quality rack to keep in my
home office. Dimensions inside are 48 in W x 60 in H x 24 in D, I'm planning on drilling holes and using pegs so I can have adjustable shelves to fit various tubs. Here is where I would appreciate input, I was thinking of sealing the wood with drylock but I think a few coats of polycrylic might be enough. Also I'm thinking of running 3 12inch heat tape along the back as a heat source, do you guys think that might be enough?

Hey, cool project. Set it up as you would set it up and monitor temps in various places over a period of time to see what you may or may not need to do and go from there till its how you need it and then you will have an awsome cabinet.

Being that it is a closed container 12" flex should be plenty. I can remember my first cb70 reptile basic racks years ago were heated with 3" belly heat and they held temps fine. Can't wait to see what you do with it

More coats of poly the better can never have enough..gonna be humid..nice cabinet. Keep updating 🙂
