I did notify the vendor via email -- very nicely, stating we were all at Repticon so obviously there was no certainty of origin and I wanted to let him know so he could look over his collection -- and have heard nothing back. I kind of hoped to get a "Wow, thank you for letting me know! We're very careful about mites and certainly wouldn't sell an animal we thought had any chance... I'll look over our animals. Please let me know if there's something I can do," response, some sort of acknowledgment without self-incrimination or something, but no dice.

Then again, a non-response may be normal and I'm unrealistic. Regardless, we're taking care of it and well knock these little nasties out.

Wanted to add this to say right after I posted this I did hear from the vendor and he was apologetic, had suggestions, and offered to send ivermectin to help get rid of them, so I feel better now

And these, from last night. She ate -- hooray! Unlike Leonard, who needed a live feeding to get him started, little miss Rose was on that f/t fuzzy like nobody's business.

Pre-feeding (someone thinks she's an anaconda -- no sign of mites thus far so I'm thinking she just wanted a dip):

When I took the picture I thought it was just the little center "blip" in the bowl, but when I got her out of her enclosure on Sunday to change her water I found mites; so yes, it's possible-to-likely.

Sounds like you have a good vet and battle plan as well. That's reassuring that the vendor was concerned and offered to help out.

The diamond/ carpet is Beatrice, from the Morellia Forum -- the "Matriarch Morellia" I believe you've seen this picture of her before -- it's her most recent.



I think she's going into shed again, which I wasn't expecting since she just shed in mid-February and it isn't as if she's a bouncing baby girl by any means! But I noticed her skin darkening this weekend, and last night when I was feeding her I noticed her belly had turned pink so I'll be keeping my eyes peeled to say the least.
