    overnight behavior change?

Hello about 4 days ago my Ball Python went from his normal cheery inquisitive self, to always hiding in his hide, or just outside. If i go to pick him up while he's outside his hide he balls up really tight and hisses. I can't tell if he is starting to shed or not so I was wondering if there was anything that would cause a literal overnight change in behavior.

This cute picture was from a day or two before this all started

What are his tank conditions? Temperature, humidity, surroundings, tank size, stuff in tank, etc... These could all easily play a part in a change in behavior.

Temp hits 90F on the hot side during the day and dips to about 85 at night, cool side dips along with it and gets to about 78F at night. Humidity stays around 50% (I live next to the gulf so it's always humid). Tank is 20'' Long and 10'' wide. There isn't much in the tank besides a big log hide that connects the warm side with the cool side (instead of two separate hides), A climbing pole that sits underneath an overhead heat lamp (hitting 95F up there, checked with its own thermometer) and a smallish water bowl in the corner of the cool side.

I've had him for a little over 2 weeks. The first week he was really active and I became worried he was stressed and trying to escape so I made some changes to get the temp set up like it is now (i couldn't get it to hit 90 on the hot side before). 4 days after I had him it was time for his first feed. I fed him a frozen (thawed) adult mouse which he ate without complaint. 2 days after that I handled him ( i hadn't gotten to the parts of the internet that said don't handle him till two successful feeds so I had been handling him the entire time except for the 2 days after he ate). and then the day after that he rarely ever left his hide. I considered this a win at first (because the saying "a happy ball is a hiding ball"). He comes out every now and again to suck up some extra heat from the hot pad, but he doesn't go up to the little pole anymore where it is 90F, and he doesn't climb all over the thermometers like he used to. I tried picking him up once 3 days ago when he was outside the hide and that was the hissing incident. By this time I had read on the internet about the two successful feeds things so I figured i'd try again later this week once he accepts a second feed.

Okay it's a little more obvious now he's definitely shedding, He's just my first little guy so I got worried. Thanks
