    Pretty bad mouse bite??

My BP is a bit under a year old now and he eats live and I watch very carefully and I fed him earlier not seeing the mouse biting at all. After he ate I was going to move him back into his tank but noticed a big pink spot around his neck area. Its a bit bloody and I put some Neosporin on it but I'm really worried and don't know any herp vets in my area (Tampa Bay Area in Florida). What can I do about the wound and does anyone know a good herp vet in the Tampa Bay Area? Thanks

using the kind of Neosporin without painkillers in it is fine. limit it to the wound, don't put too much on the scales as the oils in the ointment can cause scales to slough off.

alternatively u can also swab the wound with a betadine solution.

keep the wound clean. it will heal and hopefully the scar will disappear over a few nice sheds.

For what it's worth, I would consider feeding him in his normal enclosure as well. They don't need to be moved to feed.
