    What would you do?

    Hi guys
First of all: I'm from Argentina and here we are just starting to breed ball pythons. There are a few breeders with nice morphs but prices are still high for some basic morphs and I think there's only 1 tripe gen animal in the country, maybe a couple.
    So, here's the thing:
I have a female Spider and I have 4 males to choose from to breed her
The males are: Yellow belly, Blonde pastel, Mojave and Fire.

What would you breed her to?

Going straight on genetics I would go Mojo 100% but in reality it all depends on the quality of the males you have....

Well they are all really nice males. The blonde is spectacular and the yellow belly has a really, really yellowish belly. The mojave isn't as nice if we talk about coloration, but his marks are quite symetric.
Why do you say that talking about genetics the best option is mojo?

I prefer Mojave over your other males. Plus a Mojo/Spider is nice and clean

    Re: What would you do?

I would pick the male with the best physical condition or the nicest disposition. Another person might pick the male they like best or the male that will sire babies worth the most money. Choice is up to you. All the choices are equal as far as the genetics goes.

Expected result from yellow belly x spider:
    1/4 normal
    1/4 spider
    1/4 yellow belly
    1/4 yellow belly spider

Expected result from pastel x spider:
    1/4 normal
    1/4 spider
    1/4 pastel
1/4 pastel spider (also known as bumblebee)

Expected result from mojave x spider:
    1/4 normal
    1/4 spider
    1/4 mojave
    1/4 mojave spider

Expected result from fire x spider:
    1/4 normal
    1/4 spider
    1/4 fire
    1/4 fire spider

The actual result may vary from the expected result.

Well spider mojo is indeed a stunning morph, but I'm thinking blonde bee could be a better choise because of all the nice things you can get if you cross it with other morph, if thinking about 3 genes snakes.
    What do you think?

I would go with mojave or fire. both those are great genes. A fire spider would be a great morph to start a program with, given those options. Fire's only get better with time. Throw a Fire Spider male to a pastel female, fire bumble bees are nice. Or put in a yellow belly, ghi, vanilla, so many choices. Just go with what you like.

Seems like a reasonable choice to me.
