Snake Room

I have a room that is 7hx6dx6w and I wanted to make it my little room. If I was to get a space heater and a humidifier and set them to hold a special temp and humidity. Would that be ok? I could hold at least two or three snake cages depending on size in there. But would that be smart or would it be easier to just build a few tanks that will hold temp and humidity. Or use the room and tanks with screen tops?

well, if your running a humidifier outside of the tank and still have heat lamps on it aint gonna do much, at least it didnt with me. what you should do, is put all your tanks in the room and just heat them with the heat lamps/UTH.

i have a 10 x 10 herp room, i keep it 78-80 deg. and between 55-75% humidity and everyone is happy. if you got cages that stack or racks you could keep alot of snakes in that size room. keeping humidity is alot easier because the entire room and all the air is humidified. don't keep the room much higher than 80 though, if it's too hot you can't provide a proper temp gradient in the cages. it really helps alot in winter too, the cage heaters don't have to run full blast all winter!
