Good enclosure for a one-year-old and adults ? Its usually recommended to start young ones off in smaller homes but I can speak from experience that it can be done in a 40 gal tank. My BP is in the same tank from day one. I like naturalistic tanks and gave her all kinds of plants, hides, and limbs. She has done great. Glass tanks can work but they can be a pain to get dialed in. Do yourself and the snake a solid and get a nice pvc cage.
How to lower the humidity at night time ? Why? That's not needed.
And any more tips ? Search, read, repeat. If you go with a glass tank use moist moss in the hides to keep the humidity up. Search it to see what I mean.

Why does it go up at night?
What kind of cage are you using currently?

Re: Questions
I have a 20 gallon glass terrarium. Cover the screen with tinfoil to keep the humidity during the day and at night l open it a bit to let some of the humidity out. You could say... that the tinfoil cover works too good...

You should have at least some part open to allow for a flow of air. High temps and high humidity paired with low to no air flow is a perfect setup for mold and other foulness.
In my snake room I have a osculating fan in the corner that keeps the air moving and keeps my humidity at the right level. Without it my cages get to high as well.

I still use two glass tanks. One is my Hoggy and the other my Ball.
Both have most of the top screen covered. The Hoggy has a heat lamp so the spot right under he light is not covered and allows for air transfer. The Ball used to have lamp overhead as well but now that they are all in one heated room I took them down. I left the holes that the lights were over which again allows for the air transfer.
It sounds like whatever you are doing at night works fine so try leaving it open and see what happens. If it drops low try the moist moss in the hides. I don't even pay attention to my tank humidity in my Balls setup anymore. I know the hides are giving her what she needs and I leave it be.
