I always still offer. I've only been through two sheds with my young female, but she has eaten both times. Most will say offer the prey, if they don't take it, just wait until next feeding day.

Re: Feeding while shedding
I was wondering i started off feeding him once a week someone on here said i could feed every 5 days if he was willing and so far he has done great I finally made a feeding chart so i can stay on top of every 5 days which still isnt working well lol just gotta check the sheet more often and put reminders on my phone or something lol but usually he is kinda active around feeding days or close to em sense hes shedding he just hides....I was asking because i know you dont want to feed them with any type of bedding incase they were to eat it i was concerned incase he was to eat some of his own shedding would that be bad on him or will he be just fine if he was to happen to eat some of his skin while eating?

Re: Feeding while shedding
Some will eat, some won't. No harm in trying. Then again no harm in waiting a week either. I tend to skip if a snake is in deep blue.

Re: Feeding while shedding
If his shed is coming off in pieces then your humidity may not be high enough. If his head is already shed, try putting him in a dampened pillow case. Make sure it is just room temp or barely warm but not hot. Tie it off with him in it, set it in a tub and let him slither around in it for an hour or two and a good bit of the unshed skin should slough off. Even if it doesn't completely come off it will help hydrate his skin and take some of it off. Then I would think he should have no issue eating.
