If you also use a sliding-top screen lid, make sure you shove something in the lock hole, whether a lock, a stick, etc. if you leave it unsecured they will push themselves out. Good luck.
This is good to know about the sliding top lids. Cause i honestly never thought bout that.

YES! The pet store (as usual) GUARANTEES that the sliding-top lids are escape-proof. I believe they are if you secure them, but without that lock or stick, they are worthless. I stick a good quality chopstick in mine, it has been escape-proof ever since.

I keep something through thr lil latchy part thing. Just because my 5 year old can reach the top. (he knows better and ive never caught him messing with it but you never know) i just didnt realize theyd pop open and i dont need my girl getting out. She doesn't care for my husband anyways so it would be bad. Haha!

Alright, so 72 hours since I last saw my snake, and I havent seen any evidence of her. It seems that she just disappeared... I really hope I find her . Thanks for all of the helpful advice.

Snakes will remain hidden for extended periods of time as you well know. Don't give up, it has to be a continuous search until she turns up. I would especially be more vigilant the more she misses scheduled meals. We can do this!!!!
Stay in peace and not pieces.

Don't give up! I once found my cousins gecko almost 18 months after it disappeared. Fat and happy in the basement, no where near where its cage had been. I'm sure he will turn up, just keep the faith!

No worries dear. Snakes have been known to stay on the lam for months and months. Of course I hope you don't have to wait this long, but don't panic if the snakey stays hidden for an extended time. Heck, one of my friends' boa constrictor escaped and it showed up ACROSS TOWN in someone's front yard (must have hitched a ride in someone's car?) and he was reunited with it thanks to craigslist! Stay positive!

    Re: Escaped baby BP

My frmale ball disappeared randomly after Sylvia (assistant who no longer works with me, due to moving) forgot to secure her tub.

1600 gram female went missing for a month and a half. Problem is, i have cats and a small dog inside. She turned up one day after i came home from work to settle, she had decided to somehow pop up on my bed and i went to move the blankets and poof there she was!

I was seriously so anxious the entire time she was missing. Just dont stress, thatll do you more harm than good.

start where you keep it, work outwardly in a radius and look in under on top of behind every single thing. if still not found put out flour and see if you can find where it travels once more in circles from the cage, try to limit rooms you dont think it went into from being gotten into by putting a towel under the doors. keep any furry pets away from all possible area's it might be. most snakes wont travel far from home they are just exploring but they are the kind of explorers only the government could approve of. they will keep close by likely with in 20 feet of its home. we lost our banana cinni last week and were lucky to find him 2 days later 20 feet almost to the inch from his home in a old storage box full of magic the gathering cards, little punk thought he could play with out ME!!!! the key is to not give up on looking even young they can live for well over a month with out your help and will find something warm enough to keep them alive, if you provide a better place for it to go it will eventually find it, however if youhave boxes like me in your house and they are to tall for it to get out of but have something enxt to them they can use to get into the box well they some times will trap them selves.
