Possible to overfeed?
Hey all. I see and hear posts of BP's not eating all the time, but I haven't looked into or seen any about overfeeding a baby. I've heard adults can become overweight, but what about little ones?
More specifically, I'm slightly curious if I'm overfeeding one of mine. He's never refused a meal, and sometimes gets two in one feeding if my picky eaters refuse theirs. He seems pretty... round, well fed I guess.
He's 450 grams last weighed 4 days ago.
Not just looking for answers on my baby but also curious if there are other stories out there as well!

lol me too!
i got 2 BP's that just keep getting fatter after each feeding with out pooping. that sausage butt looks ready to explode butt it doesn't. (ok 1 actually ate, shed, pooped and peed last night.)
usually they would refuse food and remain in their hide if they're fat, full and happy. but these ones still beg for food at the front of the tubs alotta times. so i too wonder about the experience of other keepers.
RIP Mamba

Ahaha the sausage butts are real with my boy! He hasn't pooped or peed in a little while so I'm just waiting. As soon as I clean everything I bet he will.. haha.
He's always first to poke his head out for dinner too! Way ahead of anyone else, always ready for food.

I've been worried that I've been overfeeding my boy... he went from 260g on 12/16/15, without having pooped, to 362g on 1/10/16 after having pooped. He's nice and solid, though, and doesn't seem obese... and he's certainly eager to eat more! I'd been giving him an adult mouse every six days, and since I realized how much he'd grown, and he's been acting really hungry, I upped him to two adult mice last feeding. I'd love to switch him to rats - but mice are what I have, and I can't get rats without a three hour drive.

Doubt you can overfeed a baby. My little girl went from a 90g 12" worm on nov 2014 to now a well over 1000g 4' terror jan 2016. She ate a rat every 3 days until about 500g. Then went to a rat every week until 1000g. Now she eats every 2 weeks except the past 3 months where she isn't hungry but she still managed to poop a healthy size turd even after 2 months into here fast.
I switched her over to rats right when I got her. She started pounding little fuzzy rats as its easier for me since both my boas eat rats too so whatever my BP doesn't eat, my boa garbage disposals are more than happy to eat.
Oh and beware the sausage butt!! My little sunglow gal only poops like once a month but when she does, it looks like a brown hotdog and she's only about 4' long. And my 6' girl, its like "omg when did you have a baby!!?? Oh wait, that's a turd!!"
