The Champagne morph and eye colour

    Hi All,

Having my first big breeding season and managed to get a few clutches so far from a butter champagne pastel male ball python. One of the features which caused me to buy him originally was his eye colouring, the right being split horizontally, with light blue top going to dark blue in the bottom half, and the left being the standard dark eye colouring. Now that the hatchlings are coming out, i noticed the exact same eye colouring in a butter champagne pastel hatchling, and after having a better look at two from a different clutch, the same however to a lesser extent in another butter champagne pastel, as well as very slight lightening of one eye in a butter champagne hatchling.

Has anyone else observed similar with champagne/champagne combo snakes?

It's not common but not rare either. I've had black eyes, blue eyes and even a couple with one black eye and one blue eye. These were all pastel champs or super pastel champs.
