I have a 1.3 collection of BP's and this season is my first attempt at breeding them. I cooled temperatures slightly at the end of October, and a couple changes started to take place;
The male started fasting after a couple weeks of cool down and has been fasting since.
I have observed copulation twice with one of the females, and this female has also continued to pound medium rats savagely.
I have read that this is common practice for developing females prior to their ovulation. Does that sound correct?
I also heard that females will try to cool seek, but she has been spending the majority of her time on her hot-spot (85f ish).
A couple of the times I have found her laying halfway inverted on her side.
Do you think she is developing despite the fact that she isn't cool seeking?
