I've had Junior for almost a month now and he hasn't pooped for me yet. Almost every night I've been looking through is tank for any presents he would leave for me and nothing. Tonight I got him out and went into the bedroom, put him on the bed and watched him crawl around on me and the bed. He was checking everything out then I noticed him got real still and his tail stood up and started "twitching" back and forth. At first I thought, "aw, how cute", then I remembered reading on this board about what normally happens after "the twitch". I then picked him up and a few drops of pee came out then I run to the bathroom and held him over the toilet and he let it go. I called my wife to come into the bathroom and she came in and was like, "what is he doing?"...I said, "He's taking a crap...talking about potty training!!"....we got a good laugh and was amazed at what came out of him. I'd never thought that much would've came out. When he got done, my wife handed me a piece of toilet paper and wanted me to wipe his butt, so I did cause he had some running down his tail. I'd never thought I'd be holding a BP over a toilet letting him do his business and then clean him up afterword. I let my wife know that if it wasn't for me spending so much time on this board reading then he would've went on our bed.

Well, my BPs all crap like Clydesdale horses....every time I turn around their is a nice big pile for me to clean up. I always disinfect my hands real good after cleaning this stuff up.I recommend this stuff called " WipeOut 3 " - it is a blue gel that you squirt into your hands and wipe them with. It is really cool stuff...it air dries and it kills all kinds of dangerous pathogens like Salmonella.

You can try a lukewarm water soak, that might stimulate a movement.

it also doesn't hurt to wear disposable latex gloves when you are cleaning up after them. you can get a whole big box of them at walmart for pretty cheap.

lol, a potty trained snake. I'd say that you're lucky he didn't foul up his cage. My snake, Goblin will not just defecate, but it seems like he makes sure to smear it all over the tank walls. It is completely revolting, and I have to tear down his tank completely and bleach it almost everytime he goes.
I definately wear the rubber gloves! My boyfriend has them lying around for tatoooing, so they're always easy to swipe.
