Super Lesser/Butter
So I went to buy rats the other day and I ended up coming home with rats and a three year old lesser female. One of those deals that could not be refused. She is ready to go so I am going to quarantine a Phantom male with her and try to get a Karma out of her this season. My question however has to do with next season. Lesser was not really a part of my immediate plan however I guess it is now. I am primarily interested in Supers and ALS for my personal collection. I have read up on everything I could find about Lesser/Butter eye issues but have found nothing definitive. Do we at this point have any idea of the frequency the eye problem occurs? Is it an issue like spider where they all have it and it is a matter of degree? Do they grow into their eyes? Any data or pointers where I can get the data myself would be greatly appreciated.

Any animal with bug eyes will keep it's bug eyes there is no getting better, there is no stat just like there is no stat on Super Black Pastel or Cinny duck billing or Caramel kinking, all we know is that they are prone to the issue and because of that some breeders will avoid such pairings.
There are other way to make a white snake Mojave X Lesser is always what I recommend to people.

Understood. I am making Super Mojaves and Phantom Potions this year also (hopefully, good locks on all my breeders), however the reason for making a Super Lesser in my case would be primarily as breeding stock to guarantee the Lesser gene and am just trying to establish risk.

From what I have seen it seems to depend on the pairing more than a % chance. Some people breed two snakes together and get 100% bug eye babies, some people breed two snakes together and never do. and some people fall in between. So from what I have seen, all you can do is pair two animals and hope for the best, if the babies are less than desirable, don't breed them again.
