small mouse apparently bit my bumble bee...I was able to keep the top teeth from digging in the scales...but the
bottom jaw were already sunk in...a little bit of blood was drawn...what do you guys recommend for the cut??...I used hydro peroxide
to clean it up..should I keep applying that? im worried..

Peroxide can actually make things worse. Damage good tissue. Best to use is betadine.

Can also use Neosporin WITHOUT pain killer. Just put a dab on for a couple days and you should be ok. Mice are evil btw. I've never been bit by a rat but I've been bit by mice more times than I can remember...evil little rodents.

Rats can and will bite, too. I usually sit by with hemostat clamp or tongs and jam it between their teeth if the snake has them in a grip where the rat can bite. Last week, everyone seemed to want to grab butt first, so there was a lot of rats chewing on tongs.

Oh I know they can bite. I'm just saying I've never been bit by them. All the ones I've dealt with were much more relaxed than mice. I also pre kill all prey for my snakes so I never have to deal with the issue.

I wasn't trying to imply you didn't know that. I wanted to make sure any new keepers didn't read your post and go 'oh, rats don't bite' because you never know.
