Exclamation should I try live or wait a few days?

My newest BP won't eat. I bought her 4 days ago and I tried feeding for the first time today and she isn't interested. Should I wait a couple days and try again or try to feed her live tonight? I always try f/t first but I also breed mice and rats for my snakes and I have some live babies right now.

Re: should I try live or wait a few days?

General trend is to wait a week before offering food for the first time. I'll admit I don't always though. As for feeding live, what was she fed before? I'd bet if she was on live she's not likely to make the switch to f/t the first time. If she's a good weight, you can probably wait a few days and go with a live offering.

If she's a hatchling, I'd wait another 3-4 days before trying again. If she's an adult, it'd be another week. Trying to feed a new addition too often just adds to the stress of the move and isn't likely to end up being successful. In the mean time, just make sure her temps and humidity are good and let her do her thing in some much appreciated peace and quiet. You'll have plenty of time for hanging out together once she's used to het* new environment.

    Congrats on the new addition!

EDIT: * Supposed to read "her" new environment, but I'm leaving it. You know you're a BP nut when "her" is auto-corrected to "het". Ha!
