Just bought what was labeled as a butter, just wanted to make sure?t

Hey everyone, I just got my first ball python and the owners of the shop I got it from, (this place called The Reptile Room) labeled him as a butter, but I just wanted to make sure since he doesn't quite look like the pictures and videos of butters I've seen. Also, I got him for $125, is that an okay price for his coloring and what not? I'm no where near a genius in this field and I'm not sure what morphs are more valuable than the others.

Possibly a butter pinstripe? There's something else going on there other than just butter.

Beautiful reptile! He does look like he is more than just butter. Ask the sellers for pics of the parents. Also ask them if they know whether the animal has any other genetic background. Good luck!

That looks like a kingpin. Butter/Lesser Pinstripe.

I agree. Kingpin. Better or lesser with pinstripe.

Price is very subjective. If you were happy to get that snake at that price, it's a good deal.

Thanks to everyone who replied, I hadn't known what a Kingpin looked like until I looked it up and it definitely looks more like him. Thanks again!

I like how a pet store named the reptile room mislabeled a snake.

Picture is a little dark and the flash is killing it a little for me to say for certain. But I would definitely say some type of butter/lesser pinstripe (kingpin) or Mojave pinstripe (jigsaw)
