Help! Provent A Mite Problem

So I used PAM today, the only issue is I used it in an Animal Plastics T8 without any substrate - I called Products and they advise not to do this. I did not go heavy on the spray all I have it airing now but I still see it shiney on the base of the cage. This after about 30 mins or airing.

What should I do? I wish I had known not to remove the substrate but that was the first thing I put in the garbage.

I may have panicked a bit. I got a fan and I have had that pointed at the tank and its starting to dissapear. I washed all the furniture also to be on the safe side and the water bowls are nowhere near anything that even has the letter P on it.

I put Monty in a home Depot bucket now. How long will he be ok without heat?

This is not a problem, you just have to wait for it to dry. Also, you should use newspaper for substrate while you get the mite problem under control. Hang the paper over the back of a chair outside and spray it with the PAM. Once it's dry you can use it as substrate. Keep a supply of treated and dried paper on hand for when your snake makes a mess.

Same goes for hides, spray them and let them dry, and keep treated spares handy. Do not treat the water bowls.

Agreed with bcr on those points. Not a problem. I wouldn't have washed off the cage furniture bc you washed off the Pam. The key is to let everything dry adequately with proper ventilation. Remember to remove the water dishes and bowls. Do you have a heat lamp or Che (ceramic heat emitter) that you can use for Monty? If you're really panicked then leave the treated areas overnight and place him back into the enclosure in the morning. That way you can be assured it is completely dry.

As long as your house is in the mid 70's he should be fine. If you're really worried put him down the front of your shirt to keep him warm.

A couple of hours shouldn't be an issue as long as the bucket is inside and not getting below 70 degrees.
