    Is My BP in Shed?

Hi everyone. I'm a new member and this is my first post. I've owned my baby normal BP for about a month and a half and been lurking here for about two. So many great members with ample information! What a great forum.

My BP has shed once (about a month ago?) since I acquired her and it was good. I let her acclimate for about a month before feeding, and she's eaten 4 mouse hoppers (f/t, 5 days apart, no refusals). I weighed her Dec 2 at about 85g.

I noticed a slightly pink belly 14 days ago. I haven't been handling much so I haven't noticed the blue eyes, but she appears slightly dull under a flashlight and some of the light reflects back as blueish grey. However, the pic I provided does not show this at all (the flashlight is my phone's LED).

Yesterday was her scheduled feeding day, but I skipped it since it is suggested to not feed during late shed. Is my BP even in shed? Should I go ahead and offer food tonight? I know she looks normal in the pic; are there any other pics of her I should show? This is my first BP so I could be wrong in expecting a shed.

    Thanks for reading!

    welcome to the forum!

she doesn't look like she's in shed in the pix. no blue eyes or tinted skin. but they do clear up right before shedding tho.

u can offer food, she might not take it tho and it won't hurt her to wait another week.

Re: Is My BP in Shed?

i offer food whether in shed or not. I have a female just last week that was blind (clouded eyes) that was real defensive but when i dangled some food in front of her she snatched it as quick as normal. it is up to you though.

As far as in shed goes i cant tell from the pic. I have had a female do a surprise shed on me though. i missed her eyes clouding and pink belly and i even handled her. It wasn't till the next day when i saw how bright she was lol! I must have been on autopilot.
